It’s about that time again. Last year “The Sad Schaubs” took the trophy… no, really – I had a trophy made. If you don’t recall, here’s a very poor quality picture of it:
Last year was a bit of an experiment. The scoring and settings were, to put it mildly – not optimal. This year hopefully we can get everything straightened out. I think another problem with last year is that there were just too many players. 14 teams is too many. This year, I’d like to shoot for 12. I’m reserving a spot for the champ, and I suppose I should put myself in as well – so really there are only 10 spots unless anyone feels very, very strongly that we should just keep going the way we were going last year. I don’t want to boot anyone out of the league, of course – but I also don’t want anyone in the league who isn’t going to manage their team every week and take this at least a little bit seriously.

Go ahead and opt in via the comments section, and make sure you provide the email address that you want associated with the league. If the email address you use to post comments here is the same address you want associated with the league, then all I need you to do is say you want in and I will do the rest. If the email address you use to post comments is different from the one you want associated with the league, you MUST either put that address in the comments or shoot me an email with it at chris at houstondiehards dot com.
Last year there was at least one person who had no idea what was going on because he didn’t give me a proper email address. I want to avoid that problem this year if I can.
Let’s hold off on rule changes and league suggestions for now. I want to get everyone signed up, then we will do a thread devoted to scoring, settings, changes, and set a draft date.

I loved playing last year but promised the wife I’d only do one league this year with the new baby. So I don’t mind bowing out for one less spot to worry about and/or let someone else play. Sucks I can’t redeem myself
