How about some discussion about how some of our recent trades have worked out?
My starting lineup is literally different at EVERY position from what it was three weeks ago. The first week after the trade was a disaster, but this past week my guys all did really well.
I thought maybe it was a mistake to trade Chris Johnson, but he was just a part of the deal that brought me three big time players, so right now I think it’s been mutually beneficial.
By the way, the trade deadline for our league is NOVEMBER 27. Just a reminder.

Getting Vincent Jackson and Kurt Warner as late as I did really turned out to be the difference. And I didn’t draft a kicker but got tynes of the waiver and he was the top rated kicker as of last week. Mendenahll has been big and olsen had a huge game
who has Steven Jackson. I’m willing to give a little extra

Oh man. If I didn’t have Peyton Manning then I would be in a whole different position right now. It’s kind of funny; in this league, where I autodrafted, I’m on the fast track to a playoff spot, but in the league that I personally picked, I’m struggling. It helps having Schaub and AJ in the latter, but before the season started I would have said my personal team would have blown the autodraft team out of the water. Luck of the draw, I guess.

Well due to the trades I’m stronger at each starting position. My depth is hurting a bit though.
Also due to the trade I was unable to beat Steve Tasker…cus we made his team better ;/….off to go cry in the corner.

la26 you must be crown me now
i am steve tasker
olson had the big game and as soon as robert ayers scored that TD for denvers D i thought you migh actually make the come back
mendenhalls 155 yds sure helped.
so what would it take to get s jax
would a package of moreno and edwards be enough

Chris, unfortunately for me you caught me at a time when my team was week and vulnerable. AP was on a bye and I made every wrong decision as to what WR’s to start. That being said, I’m getting ready for a strong playoff run, have you decided what I’m going to get for my prize for being league champ?

You’ll lose more games this season though … Just like Oklahoma lol.

Ouch Allen
since I am a positive person i will put a positive spin on OU woes. At least allen does not have to travel far for the bowl game. who knows OU might even be in houston which would give me all the satisfaction in the world!
If they are not in houston, san antonio or el paso are possibilities for the Oklahoma laters.
I am getting ready to go on my championship run right now.from this moment on I will go undefeated!

5-4 …. finishing 6-6!
The Underachiever Bowl!
I got Texas Tech and Ok. State puttin down a mean hammer.
Hey even if I don’t win the Fantasy…Miami beat Oklahoma lol.

I actually have OU going 7-5. I have them staying in texas( I know that does not make sense). I have tech, OSU,Texas, Nebraska all ahead of them.in other words I have them tied with kansas state and Mizzou. I have texas going to the championship, osu going to the cotton, Nebraska going to holiday bowl, and Tech going to the sun bowl. that leaves the alamo bowl (san antonio) and the Houston bowl to pick up OU. I predict they will stay here in Houston, so allen if you live here buy your ticket to the bowl game right now.
Hookem Horns
Nov 12, 2009 at 19:27:10
After the horns title they went to the sun bowl or some crap bowl I believe
as long as I keep dominating y’all in fanatsy and the texans keep winning I’ll be good.
UT s schedule might bite them in the ass. That would be just as funny as last year! Probably lose to ATM. Ha ha!

You are right allen. the year after the National championship we did go to the alamo bowl. but let us look at how yall have done in the last five years in bowls….0-5 and we are 5-0 with three BCS victories and a national championship included. the other 2 victories were against Iowa(alamo) and Washington State (Holiday).
The good news it yall have a good chance of winning a bowl game this year which little game bob has not done since the dinosaurs walked the earth. A bowl win is not enough to shed the little game bob label just yet, but it is a step in the right direction. 0-5 is inexcusable considering 2 of the losses were against boise state and west virginia.

Better hope k state doesn’t make it to the championship game!
Also have any of you seen Kurt warner’s schedule for our fanatsy playoffs…
IM guessing 8 teams make the playoffs?

@KO
Unfortunately for you, you caught me on a week where I whooped you!
There’s a reason I made all those trades. I took an average team and made a good one out of it. Battle Red Undead is no fluke!
Nov 13, 2009 at 09:14:37
Yeah I agree that when the dust settled your team came out looking pretty strong. If you could have managed to do most of that while keeping CJ that would’ve been nice. I made a few trade offers but people didn’t even respond to them. It seems like there are only about 5 or 6 people that are really even participating.
I thought this was a fantasy football thread, what’s with all of the OU/UT banter?
Nov 13, 2009 at 09:27:57
LOL I’m sorry I started that.
I was thinking of putting Flacco on the block but I’m not sure.
Nov 13, 2009 at 10:52:00
I’ve thought about adding another QB. Warner has been great for the most part
what would you want for flacco
Nov 13, 2009 at 13:14:47
If anything I’d want to bundle him with Ryan Grant for a top 5 RB.
Nov 13, 2009 at 13:28:56
Yeah that might be tough
I don’t think I could do a Williams for flacco grant trade. Williams is probably in the top ten but not 5

I kept waiting to see if my team was going to regain that early fire and they have fizzled. Seems that every decision I made this year was the wrong one. Such is life. Especially when you draft as poorly as I did. I should have auto drafted and maybe I wouldn’t have reached as much

Especially when you draft as poorly as I did. I should have auto drafted and maybe I wouldn’t have reached as much. The buffalo o line really cold cocked my aspirations this year not only in this league but others as well. I would have made trades but you have to have something to trade first
