In a move that surprises nobody, Adam Schefter reported on his Twitter page this afternoon that Ryan Moats will start ahead of Steve Slaton. Hours later, John McClain filed this extensive report on Chron.com.
Of course, there’s no real significance in this move, other than to send a message to Slaton. We already knew he was going to lose carries. Moats was getting carries before Slaton fumbled last week. There’s just no way they were going to rely on Slaton against a team that won’t make them pay for turnovers, as the Bills did not make them pay last week.
As Kubiak has said all week, I’m sure we will see all three, but I wouldn’t count on seeing Slaton too much in the second half if the game is close.

I think now we will see a “new” Slaton. I don’t care what anyone else thinks, this will help Slaton in his progress as a NFL RB.IMO
