HDH Fantasy Football update

Posted by: Chris on September 29th at 10:41PM

Wow, three weeks in – and we’re down to one undefeated team. The Beer Belly Ninjas stand alone at 3-0, and for good measure, they also lead the league in points.

I can’t help but notice that someone picked up JaMarcus Russell. That person will remain nameless… but I can hardly blame him. The Texans have a history of making terrible-to-mediocre quarterbacks look like Hall of Famers.

Still – JaMarcus Russell? Someone help the guy out with a trade offer or something. That’s just sad.

Yes it was me. I have warner’s bye week. My choices were
Quinn, Josh Johnson, stafford, and Russell

    Seneca Wallace was even gone

at least when we are all watching the game it will be a little more entertaining!

Still trying to get a RB for my backhanders squad

It might tough for The Sad Schaubs to pull it out on Sunday, but I’ll make sure to get them ready.

    looking for opinions.

is harvin for mcgahee pretty fair on both sides

    Yes and no.

McGahee is limited to about 12-15 carries a game. Harvin seems more like Brett’s “Dustin Keller” of last year.

I think McGahee holds an edge now but towards the tail end of the season whoever would get Harvin would get the better deal.

    @allen OU

sorry bro I cannot help you with the QB situation. One of my QB’s is currently injured(hassleback) and the other is my franchise QB and he is off limits.

I could use some wide receiver and running back help also. I need a solid number one receiver.

    @ Allen

Mcgahee has been a touchdown machine. I should know as I have Ray Rice in two of my other leagues. I wouldn’t do it.

Whether or not it’s a GOOD trade is kind of irrelevant… he’s asking if it’s a FAIR trade. Based on need, sounds like it’s a workable deal, and I don’t think it’s severely lopsided.

Well put. Kind of like the texans secondary

whether the players are GOOD is irrelevant

it’s about DO they have a pulse. Or it sure seems like that

I’m still in awe that my team not only leads in points but is also in first place. I have a good kicker and a good defense, thats pretty much got me where Im at today. That defense is on a bye this week so should be interesting. I predict my first loss this week. I thought my team would be scrounging from the barrel, and even though its still early and could change in the coming weeks, it just goes to show how little I know about fantasy.

I think the Harvin/McGahee trade is fair. Harvin has put up decent numbers since return yds are a factor, and McGahee has been the Balt rushing TD machine, which is heavily favored in our league. Depends on your teams needs.

This is by far the most challenging league I have ever been in. Should be even more fun with bye weeks the next couple of weeks. I forsee some hard waiver wire let gos or taken positional goose eggs.

I think whoever will get mcgahee will have committed highway robbery. Our league rewards touchdowns very heavily. Willis Mcgahee in our league is easily a top 5 runningback and what happens to harvin’s numbers when Brett Christ gets injured?

    American Idle

No offens,e but I think I will give you a run for your money because I love my team. I have the best QB and I think the best defense in the league. It will depends on my busts(so far) such as Lendale White, Brandon Jacobs and TJ Houshmandzadah showing up and since our league rewards TD and those guys traditionally score high TD numbers. I am regretting passing up Chris Johnson for Jacobs, but hopefully Jacobs redeems himself as the season progresses. Good luck bro!

It’s mostly need for me and kd. With mcgahees injury history and the brett favre sucks at the end of the year deal. It works
