Week one did NOT go well for my beloved Battle Red Undead.
Gerb’s team beat me down with solid performances by the Tennessee defense and WR Greg Jennings.
Truth was the benefit of a great performance by Drew Brees… and nobody else. Unfortunately for you, T, Brees won’t play the Lions every week. Brees scored 47 of Truth’s total 81 points! Still with Brees on his squad, he’s obviously a strong contender for the prize I have yet to determine.
The Beer Belly Ninjas (AmericanIdle) had the highest point output of the week, running up (well, for our league anyway) 92 points largely on the strength of huge days from the Philadelphia defense, and a two TD performance from DeMeco Ryans’ punching bag, Jeremy Shockey.
Greg Olsen was just FANTASTIC for me, amassing a staggering 0.66 points. So much for that.
Feel free to use this weekly entry for trash-talking, trade proposals, criticism of the commissioner (wow, my settings make this a very low-scoring league… and I probably should have had two more roster spots), or whatever you like.

This is certainly an interesting league. I bet on moreno to get a td, but would have lost anyway. Somehow I got a kicker that doesn’t even kick field goals in hartley. Would love to take slaton of someones hand or jonathon Stewart

Hartley is suspended for something like three or four games. John Carney is NO’s kicker until then, and I’ve already seen speculation that Hartley won’t get his job back when he returns… though, if that were true you’d think they already would have cut Hartley.
Also, yeah… this is my first time being an actual commissioner. I kind of screwed the league up. I now regret having only two WR spots and not having a flex.
Oh well. Next year I’ll get it right.

I like my team overall. I expect baltimore to get me more than 3 points and houshmandzadeh to do better. I had alot of points on my bench with derrick Ward and Crayton. That happens in the first week because you have no idea how defenses will be and how players will do. I went with the safer bets for the most part. I am not going to declare a championship but I think I got a great shot. It will come down to me as a manger to play the right matchups for me to do well in the season and in the playoffs.Drew brees got 37 of my points

Thanks for the Texansesque first matchup Chris. I enjoyed the cake walk to victory lane!!!

I think it’s clear that I have a paved road all the way to the championship. Truth, that was an admirable week 1 performance but I don’t think you can count on Brees throwing 9 TD’s every week.

Being undefeated feels good lol.
Who’s my next victim!?

Um, wow your settings really cause low scoring and I could really use two more roster spots. In all seriousness I can’t believe my team scored the most points last week. I mean look at my team, garrard as my starting qb?! That should be a joke. Then again I thought the Texans would win and my stepchild bills were on their way to victory. The ninjas won’t make the mistake of putting up that many points again. Our d can’t play against delhomme every week

It’s just my luck that you had that kind of week against me. I wasn’t expecting the Eagles D doing THAT well. Andre Johnson not having a good day hurt me too.
