Here’s a curious note from NationalFootballPost.com… apparently the Texans were trying to move Jacoby Jones on Saturday, but weren’t able to find any takers. The link above speculates it might have been done in exchange for, or to make room for a new defensive tackle.
I’m of course aware of NFP and have visited the site several times, but I have no idea what their track record is when it comes to these kinds of stories. It actually makes a lot of sense, though. Jacoby’s value has probably been higher in the past, but it’s definitely higher now than it has been at many points in his career. Add to that, the fact that the Texans aren’t hurting at the bottom of the depth chart at WR with Glenn Martinez, and Darnell Jenkins on the practice squad - and it doesn’t seem unrealistic.

Makes perfect sense to me also. WR is arguably our deepest postition group, and if we could move Jacoby for a starting DT that would be a no brainer. I am certain that Smithiak are exploring any opportunities to beef up the DLine and secondary.

I can’t imagine anyone trading a starting DT for an end-of-the depth chart WR/PR… but they could maybe trade him for a fifth-rounder and turn that empty roster spot into a decent rotation DT. There aren’t any starters out there that Jacoby Jones would net us.
DT Terrance Taylor, 4th round pick was cut by the Colts - but he didn’t even end up on their practice squad, so something is up with him… otherwise I’d think he would be worth a look.

Until chris brown gets hurt. That’s a little rough, even for chris brown. I think I’m owed at least one healthy team. I was thinking bout Taylor as well. Doesn’t hurt. Wasn’t he a fourth rounder

Off Topic but I saw Eugene Wilson in Rucci’s Sunday night (really 1:30am Monday morning) and he said he is most likely NOT going to play this week. He had a brace on in the resturant. Slight limp.

If that’s the case kd. I hope busing gets to play some. Barber and ferguson do not excite me very much

I love with OU is down. That was a head scratching decision on Bradford and Gresham coming back. Gresham would have gone before petigrew went in the last draft. Now he probably will not be a first rounder. Bradford would have been the first Qb off the board. He would have been the number one pick ahead of stafford and sanchez. He decided to come back to OU with a new o line(which I predicted would be trouble and it was). Have fun in the Holiday bowl and we will represent the big 12 in the national championship.

You still got oct 17. And Halloween …Monroe looks like the real deal though. Congrats on that. We must ride our defense until at least miami. If we can’t beat tulsi well then…. Least I got 50 yard liners for the jets game
Who has j Stewart in our fantasy league by the way
