First things first, let me put this out there:
Please opt out now if you think you can’t commit to managing your team weekly. No harm, no foul – just let me know, because if you don’t show up for the draft AND you don’t manage your team the first week – I will simply delete your team, and we’ll re-draft for the leftover players (unless you contact me and let me know what’s going on. If you keep in touch with me, you’ll be fine). I don’t know if deleting and re-drafting is even possible with the Yahoo draft tools – but I’ll figure something out. I’m just not going to tolerate anyone taking a spot in the league then never being heard from again.
Alright, by now all of you who are participating have received several emails regarding the format of our draft, the roster updates, and the process for determining the draft order. The random drawing resulted in the following order, which is not the draft order, rather, the #1 pick can choose his draft slot, followed by #2, etc.

With work schedules and commitments the way they are, I’d love to put everyone on a 24-hour clock before I choose the draft slot for you – but with the draft coming up next Wednesday, we don’t have time for that.
#1 is currently “on the clock” to get back to me, and once he does or does not, I’ll send the next person an email and they’ll have approximately 12 hours to get back to me. I know it’s not really enough time for busy people with families and weekend commitments, but that’s how we’re doing it. If someone fails to get back to me, that person will simply get the lowest-numbered (closest to number one) draft pick available.
Remember – the draft is WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2nd @ 8PM CENTRAL TIME. You can log on to the league with the info I’ve previously given you, or you can bookmark this address:

Make sure you test your system to confirm it works with Yahoo’s interface (for example, I use the Google Chrome browser, and there are issues). At the above link, they give you a “test” feature so you can try it out.

truth, you dont pick last, you just dont get to pick your draft spot. I am 4th, so i guess if the first three were to pick 5, 7, and 9, then i could pick any of the other 14 spots.

Ok I re-read….and wanted to add a bit.
Am I picking what we all will be drafting in round 1 or just what I’ll be drafting in round 1?
I’ve never started like this so this is a little unfamiliar to me.

You’re not picking “what” you’re drafting, you’re picking “where” you’re drafting.
You pick what draft slot you want, 1-14. Do you want the first pick, the tenth pick? Etc.
The reason is that some people think that in a snake draft, it’s actually more advantageous to draft later in the round than at the beginning of the round… but it’s up to you.
I should have said draft “slot,” not position. That’s the confusing part I think.

Are we set on the point structure? I was just looking at it and rushing yards are 35 yards per point and receiving yards are 50 yards per point. So if a receiver has a relatively nice game with 90 yards receiving they only receive 1 point? If the kicker makes an extra point they get 1 point. It’s going to be a very low scoring league!!!
It’s not really a big deal but if the scoring system is still open for discussion, most leagues I’ve seen have always been 1 point per 10 yards rushing/receiving. But like I said, no biggie!!!

Also 1 point for every 25 yards passing for the QB. Opposed to the 100 yards per point we are currently set at.
