…and just like that, it’s been two years since I started this blog, with a post about how Steve Francis had just signed with the Rockets for the second time. Yes, for some of you newer readers – I used to cover Astros, Rockets AND Texans back in the old days… but football is what I love the most, so eventually I pulled the plug on Astros and Rockets coverage.
Anyway, it’s been a great ride so far. I get a lot of positive emails from people telling me they like the site, and to keep up the good work, etc – and it means a lot to me. It definitely keeps me going. Running this ship on my own, doing 100% of the graphics, web design, and content – can be a hell of a lot of work, but I certainly do love it.
In the early days, the site used to go weeks without getting a single comment, and now I get long, thoughtful comments and discussion regularly.
Thanks to everyone who comments, reads, emails, and listens to the podcasts. Soon, I’ll have a new podcast for you and of course those will become a regular thing once the season gets going.
The readership has really exploded since about midway through last season. It’s gotten way bigger than I thought it would… well, at least I didn’t think there would be as much traffic as there is in only two years.
Anyway, thanks everybody. It will be nice to cover a legitimate playoff contender in 2009, and I look forward to seeing all of you along the way. Cheers!
