Megan Manfull reports that the Texans have agreed to terms with third-round pick, center/guard Antoine Caldwell and fifth-round pick, tight end James Casey, a week short of the start of training camp (though rookies must report this Sunday).
Both rookies are expected to officially sign four year deals on Monday.
This leaves only second-rounder, DE Connor Barwin and top pick, LB Brian Cushing unsigned. I expect that Barwin will be signed late next week, and Cushing will probably go right down to the wire or even a few hours into the first day of camp. That’s how it’s gone for recent Texans’ first round picks, and I see no reason why that will change this year.
