We all know that Steve Slaton led the AFC in total yards from scrimmage… but, off the top of your head - who was #2 in the conference?
LaDanian Tomlinson? Nope, third.
Thomas Jones? Nope, fourth.
Chris Johnson? Nope, fifth.
The answer, my friends, is God… er - Andre Johnson, with 1575 yards. Oh, and he had zero rushing yards… so on the strength of his receiving statistics ALONE - the man was #2 in the conference in total yards from scrimmage. Incredible.
I remember a while back on one of the blogs… or maybe it was on one of the message boards - people were talking about how we needed to come up with a nickname for Andre Johnson. At the time, my reaction was “I just like the sound of AJ - and the fact that he doesn’t have a nickname kind of suits him, so let’s just leave it alone.”
Now my reaction is - there aren’t words in the language or any other language that are good enough to describe him. So again, I submit - he is simply AJ. Or - you can call him “without a shadow of a doubt, the greatest wide receiver in the NFL, Andre Johnson.”

Wow, that is impressive… I knew that it was the most receiving yards in something like four years, but I didn’t know he was second in yards from scrimmage.
It reflects well on Kubiak that two of his players lead the conference in yards from scrimmage. Too bad Stevie Wonder didn’t start from day one.
