Officially, who’s your top choice at #11?

Posted by: Chris on April 25th at 11:16PM

For the purposes of this poll, let’s assume the Texans don’t trade one way or another. I’m sure most of us would prefer a trade down on Thursday, but this poll is about players.

Let’s assume all of these guys are on the board at 11. These seem to be the most likely players available (in terms of all the draft prognosticators who may or may not know any more than the rest of us). I’d like to see who among the readers is the clear top choice. Discuss in the comments after, if you are so inclined.

Thanks again to everyone who kept the draft discussion up during what has been a VERY busy time for me. Couldn’t quite do as much draft coverage as I’m used to doing… and unfortunately Kyle is MIA, and if Kyle is MIA during the draft cycle, you KNOW he’s doing something important.

15 responses. Wanna say something?

Agree about that Kyle comment. Where has he been. Plus, my bad on not doing writing a post this year. Been busy for me as well lately. Expecting my 1st child sometime this week. Hopefully its not Thursday night, lol

But as far as the list: I say Julio Jones. To me, he’s the only one on there that would
    1) Start
    2) Truly upgrades the position
    3) Makes the most immediate impact/difference

Quinn all day! Assuming hes available of course.

    2nd choice is Jones.

    3rd is Aldon.

Julio Jones fits a need and is the by far the BPA next Jordan then Quinn the more I look at it we can get a high caliber rush olb and Quinn does have medical issues and only 1 good year but he is a great talent.

First choice is Quinn. Second choice is Cameron Jordan. Third would be Jones.

I voted for Robert the Doctor Quinn medicine woman. My order is julio gulio jones and then Web Cam Jordan. Although cam jordan and julio are pretty interchangeable in my ranking. Then it is JJ watts up. I am not a big fan of the artist formerly known as Prince amukamara or Aldon ISD Smith. If we pick Nancy Kerrigan then that will prove that Rick Smith still has some control because I do not think that Wade would draft him

I am alone in this but I want Kerrigan. He’s just a football player in my opinion. Put him on the field and he will produce.

Ok, so word on the street from 2 different sources is that the Texans could move up to the 2nd spot to get Miller but if the price is too high, then they could try and move up to the 5th spot and take Peterson because he will be a lil cheaper than the 2nd pick. Now…if we are able to swap 1st round picks and give up our 3rd and 4th for the 2nd spot then they better pull the trigger and get Miller. I think the Broncos are going to want more than that, but I’m banking and crossing my fingers that Elway Owes Kubiak such a huge favor (since there old time friends) that Elway takes the 3rd and 4th.With that being said, if we were able to get the 2nd pick(damn I’m hoping and wishing alot right now) I say take Miller and then take Aarron Williams in the 2nd. I could give a damn about the rest of our picks. they wont start no damn way.If we cant get miller, but can get the Arizonas 5th pick(let me dream please), then we can take Peterson and like Jd said, we can take Brooks Reed in the 2nd. Reed’s approach to the game reminds me of Clay Matthews soo much.
