Mock Draft Tracker Update: Yep, it’s Quinn

Posted by: Chris on March 23rd at 10:22PM

Ah, what the heck I’ll just put it up on the front page this time.

More of the same this week, as expected. For the record, I still don’t think Robert Quinn is going to be there, but we’ll see. I can absolutely see someone trading up to get him if he gets past San Francisco at #7.

Real life has been crazy lately, so it’s been a little slow around here. Hopefully I’ll find a bit more time to devote here soon. It sure would help if the owners and players seemed to care as much as the rest of us.

By the way, speaking of things that last forever – is the Rodeo over yet? MY GOD HOW LONG DOES THE RODEO LAST!?!? I have lived in and around Houston for all but 8-10 years of my life, and it surprises me every year when month-long redneck Halloween the Rodeo is still going on this time of year.

I think that is an accurate description of the rodeo Chris. I happen to like halloween and the rodeo because the good looking ladies of houston decide to release their inner ho bag they wear those jean shorts and they look sexy and on halloween they are in lingerie pretty much. SO as a man I love the rodeo.

Lots of mocks have Peterson slipping to 7, so it would be nice to move up if it didn’t cost more than a 3rd and maybe a 5th.

I’m torn between Prince, Quinn, and moving down (with the right offer, of course).

I would absolutely do everything we can to move up for PatP. 3rd and 5th would be easy to give up, especially if he slips to San Fran. Otherwise, the only other guy I want at # 11 is Cameron Joran, maybe JJ Watt.

Quinn’s tumor is concerning, and I think he falls past us even, and even if Fairley does fall I don’t want him. Though if Bowers falls I could see us taking him.

Julio Jones would be okay too.

How about this – use our own 3rd and 5th to trade up and get Peterson. Then, we take Brooks Reed or Bruce Carter in the 2nd. Of course, we still need to sign a vet FA at DT, SS, CR, and ILB.

We keep talking about “signing veteran FAs” like it’s Madden Franchise Mode. We have to come to terms with reality and accept that odds are, we won’t! First, that’s not what Rick does. Second, no one knows when Free agency will start! We have too many holes to fill to trade up.

I think the combination of the tumor and the fact that he did not play last year will hinder him. he could be a steal at 11
