Mock Draft Tracker Update: Quinn leads the way

Posted by: Chris on March 10th at 9:33PM

As you might imagine, Robert Quinn has taken the lead in the latest 2011 Texans Mock Draft Tracker update. Sadly, my personal favorite Marcell Dareus has rightfully fallen off the board completely, and there are a couple of new faces that have shown up as well.

Click the above link or hit the permanent graphic on the right to see the latest Tracker.

My preference, right now? Trade down. Of course, that is always my preference, barring an unforeseen fall. Trading down isn’t as easy as many seem to think, but I’m hoping a QB-needy team might want to jump up ahead of Minnesota. Here’s to hoping.

Goodbye, Marcell. I know we were never going to be together, but we’ll always have… well, nothing. But like BJ Raji before you (previous unrealistic most-wanted Texans pick) I will follow your career wherever you end up.

Every mock I see has Von Miller going 5 to the cards. I am seeing a lot of mocks which have Patrick Peterson falling to the 9ers. If Peterson falls that far, what would we have to offer the 9ers to trade up into that spot? Seems like a no brainer to me. Swap firsts and a three?

LZ has Quinn going 2 overall. Anyone think he will actually fall to us? He’s top 5 talent no doubt.

I have him going to us also. I am going to send my mock draft to Chris. I need to make some minor changes and it will be up. i also have peterson going to the 49ers.

Unfortunately, I’m somewhat confident whoever we get at 11 would have been available at 21. I like many of the players who might be available at 21, but I’d just like for the Texans to get good value for the pick.
